William Wesley Haynes, aged 80, of 1420 South Ohio avenue, died at 4:55 o'clock Monday afternoon at a convalescent's home, 728 East Fifth Street, after an illness of six weeks. Mr. Haynes was born September 14, 1860. His wife died thirteen years ago. He leaves the following children: Mrs. T.H. Delph, Sedalia, Mrs. C.E. Hoffman, Bowling Green, Mrs. A.A. Hoffman, Bland and Buddy Haynes, and the following grandchildren: Jack Delph, Thomas E. Delph, Donald Delph, Mrs. Chas. Stephenson, Mrs. C.E. Miller, and Mrs. Ben Ridgeway. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. A.W. Kokendoffer, pastor of the First Christian Church to officiate. Mrs. Glen Moser is in charge of the music. Friends who will serve as pallbearers are J.B.Greer, Arthur England, F.C. Dittmer, D. Thomas, C.S. Smith and Edward Garst. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
***Please note the obituary is incorrect in stating he had a daughter named Mrs. A.A. Hoffman, and a son named Buddy Haynes. Those last two named "children" are actually his last 2 remaining siblings. His sister Arleva Anna Haynes Hoffman of Bland, and Cornelius Floyd "Buddy" Haynes of wherever, since he was a wanderer until he finally settled in with a daughter. ***
