Dee Bennett Funeral Will Be Held Thursday
Funeral services for Dee Bennett, 66, who died yesterday, will be held at the Kolb funeral home, Sayre, Thursday at 2 p.m. Rev. Theodore Johnson, rector of the Church of the Redeemer, of which Mr. Bennett was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Tioga Point cemetery.
Mr. Bennett was a retired file clerk in the superintendent's office of the Lehigh Valley railroad, where he was employed for many years. He was a personal friend of Lee Tracy, a former Sayreite, and now a well known stage and film actor, who was notified of his death.
Mr. Bennett had made his home with the late Heister Piollet until 1950, when the latter died.
Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Irene B. Taylor of Sayre, Mrs. Emily Parliament of Troy, Mrs. Burton Genung of Waverly and Miss Sophie M. Bennett of Rochester; and one brother, Johntie K. Bennett of Leighton.
