Luther Bradford Billings. He went by Bradford. Born 8 Dec. 1846, Marengo, McHenry Co., Ill. died 20 Jan. 1911, Nora Springs, Floyd Co., Iowa.

Bradford was a Civil War veteran. He enlisted in the Union
Army 22 Aug. 1863 as a private in Company G., 9th Iowa Cavalry Volunteers. Luther was discharged 16 May, 1865 at Keokuk, Iowa, serving his full term.

He married Louisa Maria Bates(1851-1912)in 1873. They had 5 sons; Edwin D, Luther Allen, William Albertus, James Franklin and George Willis. He was the son of Luther A. Billings and Sarah Ann (Janes) Billings.

Charles Belanski, also buried in Park Cemetery, and also a Civil War veteran was a cousin. Charles' mother Mary Ann and Luther Bradford's mother were twin sisters.
