Mr. Roolf, an 11-year resident of Spokane, died April 5. He was born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
He attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He was in the U.S. Army for several years. He served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart. He also served in Panama and was an instructor at the School of the Americas at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Most recently he had been working as the dispatcher for Mercer Trucking Co. in Spokane.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, June; two sons, Josh Roolf of Puyallup, Washington, and Mark Andker of Spokane; two daughters, Sara Roolf of Seattle and Lesa Wolfe of Deer Park; four brothers, Leonard Roolf of Cheswick, Pennsylvania, James Roolf of Joliet, Illinois, Lawrence Roolf of McDonald, Pennsylvania, and William Roolf of New Castle, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Peggy Pursley of Olympia and Loretta Atkinson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
