Mr. Green was born May 28, 1925, in Paulding County, the son of Roy D. and Estell Ruth (Foust) Green.
Following his high school graduation, Roy entered the U.S. Army. He completed his military service during World War II.
He lived in the Van Wert area until moving to the Butler and Lucas areas in 1956. Roy was a retired driver for Russ McBride Trucking, Mansfield, and was a game warden for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mansfield. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two sons, Harold (Bobbi) Green and Dean E. Green, both of Mansfield; two daughters: Mary Ann (R.T.) Mellor of Mansfield, and Michiko (Sam) Polkinghorn of Lucas; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Gilbert Pancake of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eiko Green, in 2005; one brother and two sisters.
