Parents married: Nov 22 1880, Grantsville, Tooele, UT.

Daughter of 13 children. At the age of 25, her mother Rhoda Beattie died on October 28th, 1914. She was only 55 years old. Mother would experience black-outs, causing her to have fainting spells. Now, mother-less the family had a hard time coping with her loss. It was very difficult raising a large family of 13..

Then on December 15th, 1915 (One year/ one & half months after mothers death) father remarried Bessie Marie Green. Together they had 2 more children to add to the family:

Ethel was born on the wagon trail as her parents moved out west.... as the story was told.

Ethel married her sweet-heart that she knew since she was a young girl, Marion Wolfe Brown. They married on April 03, 1912. They moved from Idaho to Cottonwood Heights, Utah. There they build a barn which they lived in for about 1-2 years before constructing a little white cottage w/tin roof. The home featured a 2 bed/ 1 bath. This was between 1944 to 1947.

Family interviews revile Ethel had 4 favorite things: Cherry Pie/ Vanilla Ice Cream/ Favorite Color: Blue/ # (4). She always purchased gifts from her daughter Afton's store located downtown SLC, UT, called "Imperial Market" ... such as little cakes. She never drove a car... never liked to learn, due to a bad experience learning.

Ethel tripped on a bedroom rug falling to the floor... hurting her left shoulder, which later caused her to become bedridden. She died in the same room she tripped after spending months in bed. Her home was located in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She died on Wednesday January 24th, 1979 from natural causes. (Above events was from interviewing family who knew Ethel).
