William Wheat died at his home in Clarksburg Saturday night after an illness of eight months. He was sixty-eight years of age and was born in the neighborhood which has always been his home. He was the son of Levi and Amanda Wheat. He married Miss Mary Shuff, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Shuff and besides his wife,their six children survive him. These are John and Isaac Wheat, Mrs. Josie Stroh, Mrs. Mabel Eberhart and Mrs Anna Clawson, all in the Clarksburg neighborhood, and Miss Marie Wheat, who lives at home. There are fifteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Mt. Carmel church Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Herman Dill and burial was in the Mt. Carmel cemetery.
