She was born near Stigler, Oklahoma to Hugh E. Earp and Arlie (Flatt) Earp. She grew up in Lincoln County, Oklahoma and graduated from Chandler High School in 1939. She married Archie M. Pounds on January 14, 1940 and they enjoyed sixty-four years together before he passed away.
Preceded in death by her parents: Hugh and Arlie Earp; her beloved husband: Archie M. Pounds; her three brothers: Kenneth, Ernest and Wendell Earp.
Survived by three children: Archie M. Pounds Jr. and wife Lynnie of Tulsa, OK; Geraldine and husband Sammy Robideaux of Natchitoches, LA; Wayne E. Pounds and wife Nana of Tokyo, Japan; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a host of nephews, neices, cousins.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m., First Assembly of God Church. Reverend Doyle Seeley officiated. Interment followed at Oak Park Cemetery, Chandler, Oklahoma.
