James Cummings, 65, of Grand Forks, ND, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at his home. James Leroy Cummings was born on February 13, 1939, the son of Russell and Lydia (Eisner) Cumming. James graduated from High School in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, and enlisted in the service.

On June 15, 1962, James was united into marriage to Judith Fontaine, in Grand Forks, ND, where he worked for United Buckingham Motor Express, and Twin City Freight Companies, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the local Teamster Union.

James passion for life was dancing, camping, racing, and attending tractor pulls. He was inducted into the Grand Forks Speedway "Hall of Fame". He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Family members include sons; Todd and Troy (Kristen) Cummings, daughter; Lonnie Cummings, grandchildren; Haley, Beau and Adrian, his friend and companion Judy Cummings, all of Grand Forks, North Dakota, Sister in law; Alice Cumming, East Grand Forks, Minnesota. James was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Keith and Donald Cumming.

He was a member of the American Legion #157 and a life member of DAV #2.
