Laura Moody Lawrence, 93, formerly of Mattydale, died Friday at Loretto Heights Nursing Home, Oswego. Laura was born June 15, 1916, in Syracuse, the daughter of Walter and Edna Reed Cardner. She resided in East Syracuse from 2000 until 2005, when she moved to Pulaski. She had previously lived in Mattydale for many years. She graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1933. Laura was married to Leon Moody, who died in 1976. She then married Raymond Lawrence, who died in 1995. She was employed by North Area Meals on Wheels in North Syracuse for many years. Surviving: three sons, Leon Moody of Georgia, Kevin Moody of Syracuse and Dean Moody of Columbus, OH; one daughter, Carol Granger of Cazenovia; one sister, Inez Smalley of Georgia; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by three daughters, Jean Pomona, Judith Masuiccia and Sara Bundy. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a burial in St. Paul's Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the funeral. Donations may be made to North Area Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 347, North Syracuse, NY 13212.
