NASH, EDWIN C., 89, husband of Marion, father of Mary Foster and James Nash, brother of Adelia McAlary, son of Lynne (Weston) and Ernest Nash, son of Edwin C. Nash, son of Amasa Nash, who settled in Sec. 10 Campbell Township in 1847. He was a lifelong farmer on the family homestead, bookkeeper at the Clarksville Elevator, and a director of his grandfather's Edwin C. Nash State Bank. He became Campbell Township Supervisor in 1950 and served as chairman of the Ionia County Board of Supervisors 1957-1968. In 1969 he became chairman of the newly formed County Board of Commissioners, and served on that Board until retirement in 1994.
