She was married to the late Coley V. Cox on the 5th of May 1965, they had no children. She and Coley lived in Julian, N.C., for several years, but after the death of her husband in 2000 and her mother in 2001, she later moved back to Greensboro and resided at 1907 Albatross St.
She was employed with Burlington Industries at the Greensboro offices for a total of 36 years and then 12 years for Galey & Lord Ind. before retiring in 2000.
Mrs. Cox will be laid to rest in Lakeview Memorial Park, along side of her husband and near her parents. Proceeding her in death was her husband Coley Vernon Cox; Parents; Diamond Glean Davis and Viola Cornelia Casey and Brothers; Charles W. Davis and Harold R. Davis. Surviving are one sister, Patricia D. Clements and husband Gary; sister in laws, Marian P. Davis and Dorothy J. Davis and 5 nieces and 1 nephew and their families.
