HURRICANE, Washington County — Joint funeral services for Vilate Young Hardy Gubler, 67, and her stepdaughter, Ila Gubler, 51, both of Hurricane, who died of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Wednesday, Aug. 18, 1976, six miles south of Beaver, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Hurricane LDS Stake Center. Mrs. Gubler was the sister of two Utah County women.

She was born April 16, 1909 in Morales, Mexico to Edward W. and Gladys Loyinia Wilson Young. She married George Franklin Hardy on April 16, 1925 in the St. George LDS
Temple, and he died. She then married Kenneth Gubler on April 2, 1972 in Hurricane.

Survivors include four daughters and two sons, Mrs. Toby (Rosetta) Gulrule, Mrs. Dwain (Colleen) Hepworth, George Hardy and Lawrence Hardy, all of LaVerkin, Washington County; Mrs. Garland (Vonda) Hirshi, Cedar City; Wendell Hardy and Mrs. Garth (LaDonna) Paxman, both of Salt Lake City; three brothers and four sisters, Mrs. Leland (Lydia) Stout, Provo; Mrs. Esther Moore, Orem; Edward Young, Sparks, Nev.; John R. Young, Rawlins, Wyo.; Roscoe Young, Fredonia, Ariz, and Mrs. Flora Spendlove, Hurricane.

Miss Gubler was born June 15, 1926 in LaVerkin to Kenneth and Marguerette Bauer Young.

Survivors include two brothers and three sisters, Mrs. Harold (Elco) Orton and Mrs. Don ( Marguerett ) Shaffer, both of Cedar City; Mrs. Ray (Jerri) Leary, Falls Church, Va.; Kenneth B. Kay Gubler and Cal B. Gubler, both of Hurricane.

Friends may call at Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary in Hurricane Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. .or Monday at the stake center from 12:30 p.m. until time of services. Burial will be in LaVerkin City Cemetery.
