She was born September 22, 1936 in Chariton County, the daughter of Ernest and Violet Marie Davenport Lybarger.
She graduated from Northwestern High School at Mendon in 1955. Before retirement she had worked several years at the DuPont Company in Kansas City, Kansas.
She is survived by one son, William Arp of Duncan, South Carolina; one sister, Norma Utterback of Brunswick; two brothers, Charles Lybarger of Glenwood, Arkansas and Billie Lybarger of Kansas City; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steven and Christopher Arp and two grandsons, Joshua and Mitchell Arp.
Graveside memorial services will be held in the Pleasant Park Cemetery, Rural Carrollton Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Lanny Lybarger officiating.
Cremation arrangements were by the Gibson Funeral Home at Brunswick.
