Elizabeth's younger brother Andrew McIntire lived with them in 1870. After Elizabeth's husband John died, she moved into her younger brother Andrew's household and lived with him until she died Dec 22, 1913, in Nicholas County, Kentucky.
Elizabeth never had children and never remarried. She died at the age of 80 and is buried in the Carlisle Cemetery, Nicholas County, Kentucky.
