Mr. U.V. "Jack L." and Mary Lois Byrd were married 24 Sept 1911 by Rev Chastine. They parented two sons. Jack was a member of Woodmen of the World, Sycamore Conference #557. A hand written letter to his family upon his death, signed by two members of their "resolution committee", referred to him as "esteemed Son". Their insignia on his grave marker states it is a Woodmen of the World Memorial. Cause of death: influenza pandemic of 1918; age 28. His wife moved to Oklahoma to be near her family; raised her young children alone; never remarried. Jack's siblings:

Ionly Bethel Whisenhunt [1886-1975]
