Ida McCullough Hughes -- A native of Decatur, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at the age of 85. She was a member of Grace Baptist in Semmes, AL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Wesley Hughes; son-in-law, Charles C. Newberry; grandson, Mark Hughes; and a great grandson, Joshua Caleb Culp.
Mrs. Hughes is survived by nine children, Jean (Kennis) Wilson, Wanda (Taylor) Crawford, Johnnie (Richard) Culp, Herb (Diane) Hughes, Haskell (Lorie) Hughes, Linda (Gilbert) Courchesne, Wesley (Debbie) Hughes, Lloyd (Terry) Hughes and Leaida (Kennith) Neely; 29 grandchildren; 56 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland with Bro. Herbert E. Hughes, Sr. officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. The family requests that memorials for mother be sent to Grace Baptist Church, Semmes, AL. Funeral arrangements by Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.
