Mr. Phillip Cribb, 61, died Tuesday afternoon (May 1, 2001) at his residence after a short illness. He is a native and lifelong resident of Waycross.

He was a sheetmetal worker at CSX Railroad for 42 years. He was a member of the Sheetmetal Workers of CSX, Local 422 Union, and a Safety Award Winner at the railroad. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and president of the Kingsmen Sunday School Class for 8 years.

His parents were the late Samuel O. Cribb and Lucille Mullis Cribb.

He is survived by his wife, Angelyn Beverly Cribb of Waycross; one daughter, Dana Dixon (husband Mark) of Blackshear; two grandchildren, Dustin Kinnon and Haley Dixon of Blackshear; one step-grandchild, Bradi Dixon of Blackshear; one sister, Mary Ann Belisario of Jacksonville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday (May 3, 2001) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
