Mamie Bommarito, 89, a homemaker, of Las Vegas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008. She was born Nov. 17, 1918, in St. Louis, and moved to Detroit soon afterward. Mamie was married to Joseph Bommarito in 1947, and they had three children, Ted, Grace and Geri. In 1967, the family moved to Las Vegas. Mamie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bommarito, who passed away in 1987; and her daughter, Grace Bommarito, who passed away in 2007. Mamie is survived by her son, Ted Bommarito; daughter-in-law, Marguirite Bommarito; her daughter, Geri Bommarito; and her two grandchildren, Joseph and Matthew Bommarito. Viewing will be 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, with the funeral service immediately following, both at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
