ROBERT D. MANCHESTER
Robert D. Manchester, aged 60, of Schenevus, died Sunday enroute to Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr. Manchester was born December 17, 1907 in Milford. the son of George E. and Minnie A. (Badeau) Manchester. He married Margaret Darmody.
He was a farmer and had lived in the Schenevus area all of his life.
He was a member of the IOOF of Schenevus, of which he was the noble grand.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Robert D. Jr. of Schenevus; two daughters, Jean Elizabeth McMorris of Lockport and Beverly A. Lifgren of Schevevus; nine grandchildren; a brother, Leland of Warnerville; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Mead of Charlotteville; two nephews, Richard Manchester of Warnerville and Louis Mead of Charlotteville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.on Tuesday at the Bennett Funeral Home in Schenevus with the Rev. George Roe of Schenevus Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be later in the Schenevus Cemetery.
