Mr. Elroy John Tesmer, age 68, passed away Friday, February 25, 1983 at his residence in Bon Carbo, Colorado. He was born April 21, 1914 in Colby, Wisconsin to George and Magdalena Tesmer.
Mr. Tesmer was a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II and a long time member of the Lutheran Church.
He was united in marriage to Evelyn Bergman on July 7, 1948 in Cleabrook, Minnesota, where he operated a retail store until his retirement to Colorado.
Mr. and Mrs. Tesmer moved from Westcliffe, Colorado to Bon Carbo in May 1982, where he was very active in the Bon Carbo area civic activities until his passing.
He was a member of the Wet Mountain Valley Rotary Club and Senior Citizens of Westcliffe.
Mr. tesmer is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Bon Carbo; two sisters, Bernice Tyler of Loveland, Colorado and Adeline Crawford of Imperial Beach, California; one nephew Ray Tesmer of San Antonio, Texas; numeroud nieces and nephews and other realitves and friends.
Services for Mr. tesmer were held Tuesday, March 1, 1983 at the Campbell-Lewis-Swickard Memorial Chapel in Trinidad, Colorado with Reverend Ed Richardson officiating.
Local funeral service will be held in the spring when the burial takes place at the Augustana Lutheran Cemetery of Clearbrook. The Cease Funeral Home of Bagley is in charge of arrangements.
