OBITUARY

MISS FRANCES V. MANCHESTER

Miss Frances V. Manchester, aged 62, of Elk Creek Road, Schenevus, died Thursday, January 28, at Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta, following a brief illness.
She was born June 15, 1902, in Schenevus, the daughter of George and Minnie (Badeau) Manchester. She had taught in Andrew S. Draper Central School In Schenevus, for 44 yeans, retiring in June, 1964.
She was a member of the Schenevus Baptist Church, having been church treasurer for many years. She was a member of the WCTU, chairman of the Missionary and
Prayer Society of the Baptist Church: a member of the Schenevus Women's Club and of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Margaret Mead of Charlotteville; two brothers, Leland Manchester of Warnerville, and Robert Manchester of Schenevus; two nieces; three nephews and several cousins.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, at the Schcnevus Baptist Church, with the Rev. George Rhee, pastor, officiating. Burial will be later in Schcnevus Cemetery.
