Adam son of Jacob Ash & Isabella Marsh born ca. 1827/28 married Missouri Brown, 1849, Marshall co., IN. They were parents of 3 sons and one daughter who lived to marry and several children who died young. Their son William Henry Ash is buried Gates Cemetery, Custer Co., NE. Adam married second to Mary E. Radabaugh and they had sons Joel & Charles Edwin Ash. Mary had married a Mr Clark and had a son and daughter. Adam served in Civil War CO. K. 151 Indiana Inf. as a Private..
After the war removed to Tama County, Iowa with his parents and sister Jennetta Ash Webb. In 1879 they removed to Lilliam Creek/Walworth area of Custer Co., Nebraska.
