TAMPA, FLA. - Randal J. Hamilton, 41, formerly of Racine, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009, at Tampa General Hospital following a tragic accident while working on a job site. Randy was born in Racine on September 22, 1967, the son of James and Nancy Hamilton. On April 2, 1988, he was united in marriage to Maritza Orozco in Racine; later making their home in Tampa, Fla. for the last 21 years. He was a graduate of Washington Park High School and was a Racine resident until 1988. He was currently employed by Florida Safety Contractors until the time of his death. Randy's main interest in life was taking care of his family, most importantly, spending time with his daughter, Kayla. He was an avid bodybuilder while in Racine and also in Florida. His other interests included building custom cars, some of which he entered in car shows. His creative ideas were brought out in his one- of-a-kind yard at home, where he showed off his unique art, which included his love for skulls. Randy had many friends over the years, too many to mention, some of which referred to him as the 'Gentle Giant'. But his utmost closest buddies were Paul Scholzen, Stanley Camacho, and Cheyenne Dishman. We can't forget to mention his special feline friend, "Wahly." Survivors include his loving wife, Maritza (nee: Orozco) Hamilton; daughter, Kayla; parents, James and Nancy Hamilton; sisters, Terri (Andy) Hapanowicz and Kimberly (Roman) Anchondo; brother, Douglas Hamilton; mother-in-law, Maria Orozco; brothers-in- law, Freddie Deleon and Frank Deleon; and sisters- in-law, Ilsa Deleon, Louisa Deleon, and Sonia (nee: Orozco) Perez. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Funeral services were held in Tampa, Fla.
