Preached Funeral Sermon.
Father Thomas Stanton preached the sermon at the funeral of Hugh McGinn yesterday morning in St. Mary’s church. Father Stanton, who was for many years parish priest of Lonaconing knew Mr. McGinn well. Father Conway, pastor of St. Mary's Church, celebrated a solemn high mass. The pallbearers were: Patrick Rowan, William Ford, Daniel Stakem, John C. Douglas. Daniel McGinn and John Donohue. It was a large funeral and there were many from out of town in attendance—Francis Drum, of Vale Summit: John Manly, Daniel Stakem and Peter Firlie of Midland; Mine Inspector John Donohue, of Frostburg. Interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery.
