Thomas F. Hall was the father of Second Great Grandfather James Robert Hall. Two of Thomas' sons, Elijah and James, served during the civil war, both in the 1st Maine Cavalry. He was buried with his wife, Betsey Hall (probably a cousin), in Tewkesbury Cemetery (now Town Cemetery), Atkinson, Maine.

There was a Thomas Fletcher Hall who lived in the area as well. Thomas Fletcher may have been a cousin to Thomas Foster. This fact has created considerable confusion among genealogical researchers studying the Hall family.
