Capt Simeon Raymond, though in his sixties, served in the Revolution, and received a pension and a bounty land-warrant for his services. It is likely he was patrolling the coast and reporting on Loyalists in Long Island, NY. He was certainly taking care of horses for the Norwalk militia, and for this, his home and property were burned down by Tories.
