Son of Lot Smith & Mary Marinda Garn

Al was the 42nd child born to Lot Smith. He was born at Tuba City, Arizona and in sometime around 1901 at the age of 13 moved to Blackie, Alberta, Canada with his mother and siblings. Both Al and his brother Jim didn't like Alberta and returned to Arizona. After returning to Arizona, Al became a wealty cattle owner in the Kingman area. Later on Al and his wife purchased a mineral bath resort in Hurricane, Utah.

checked microfilm records of both newspapers that existed in the St. George area in 1964, the Southern Utah Advertiser and the Washington County News (Both newspapers ceased publication over 20 years ago) was unable to locate an obituary for Al Smith after checking the newspaper microfilm from the death date of April 25, 1964 to May 31, 1964.
