MRS. MATT WATSON

Of Valliant, Died This Week in a Hospital at Greenvile, Texas.

News reached the city this week of the death of Mrs. Matt Watson, of Valliant, which occurred in a hospital at Greenville, Texas, where she had been carried just a few days ago for treatment.

Mrs. Watson was a sister of Mrs. James R. Earl and Mrs. Marvin L. Sawyer, of this city, who were unable to attend the funeral on account of serious illness. She is also survived by her husband, three children, and four brothers, Sam Stanley, who is with the American Expeditionary Forces in France, Rufe, Charlie and Neil Stanley, of Valliant.

Mrs. Watson was a good Christian lady and had many friends in this city and elsewhere who will be grieved to learn of her death. The remains were interred in the Wheelock cemetery.

The Gazette extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
