Cecil O. Rogers Sr.

BRANDON - Cecil O. Rogers Sr., 66, died Aug. 20, 2007, at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington, after a long illness.

He was born on June 12, 1941, in Bridgewater, the son of Romaine A. and Evelyn (Stocker) Rogers.

He was employed as a truck driver for several area companies for many years before retiring due to failing health.

Mr. Rogers enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include three daughters, Donna Prouty, Nancy Rogers-Lackey and Susan Budd, all of Rutland; two sons, Cecil Rogers Jr. of Florida and Nelson Rogers of Clarendon; three brothers, Romaine Rogers and Donald Rogers, both of Rutland, and Bernard Rogers of Shrewsbury; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, David Rogers.

The private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Barnard Funeral Home in Pittsford.
