He was born in Hardinsburg, was a farmer and was a member of Blacklick Baptist Church in Hardinsburg. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ethel Henderson; 3 sons, Hilary Henderson Jr. of Hatfield, IN, James Roy Henderson of Rockport, IN, and Earl Henderson of Tell City, IN; 4 daughters, Faye Miller and Dorothy Goodwin, both of Rockport, IN, and Sue Cameron and Lucile Zoglman, both of Chrisney, IN; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a brother, Will Henderson of Guston; and a sister, Alene Phillips of Fairmont, IN. Services are at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport. Burial will be in James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield. Visitation is from 1-8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
