Actor, Director, Martial Arts Expert. Born Wing-Cheung Shek in Shígang Village, Panyu, Guangdong, China, he appeared in over 350 films spanning a 50 year career. He made his film debut in the 1940 motion picture "Flower in the Blood." He is best known to Western audiences as the one handed villain in the 1973 motion picture "Enter the Dragon" starring Bruce Lee. His other film credits include "Bloody Cloth" (1948), "Hong Kong King of Murders" (1948), "For My Country" (1949), "Tragedy on the Pearl River" (1950), "White Poplar, Red Tears" (1950), "Darts of Fury" (1951), "The Swordsman and the Beauty" (1953), "Backyard Adventures" (1955), "Beauty in the Mist" (1956), "Love and Hate" (1956), "Devil's Sword" (1957), "Ten Brothers" (1959), "The Last Five Minutes" (1960), "Story of the Sword" (1962), "Sword of Justice" (1964), "The Golden Bat (1966), "Blood Stains the Iron Fist" (1967), "The White Dragon" (1968), "Silver Knife, Scarlet Blade" (1969), "The Casino" (1972), "Tiger's Claw" (1974), "Ring of Death" (1980), "Hong Kong 1941" (1984), "Lady in Black" (1987), "Midnight Angel" (1990) and "Once Upon a Time a Hero in China" (1992). In 1996 he was the recipient of a Golden Bauhinia Award by the Hong Kong Film Critics Association for lifetime achievement in motion pictures. He died in Hong Kong from kidney failure at the age of 96.
