She was a 1941 graduate of The Miami Valley Hospital School of Nursing. Survivors include her husband, John F. Steffen Jr.; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen R. Johnson Sr. of Dayton; two daughters, son, all at home; a sister and a brother.
