Funeral services for Joe Lee Jones, 66, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 3, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. George Bonner officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jones passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. He worked at James Construction for over 34 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Emma Lee Jones; and three siblings, James Grady Jones, Aubrey Jones, and Bobbie Nell Bigelow.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine Jones; children, Wendy Berenson and husband Ed of Mechanicsville, VA, Cindy Boyer of West Monroe, LA, Sandy Baker and husband Mark of West Monroe, LA, and Stephen Jones and wife Emily of Mechanicsville, VA; brothers, Odean Jones and wife Peggy of Monroe, LA, Leroy Jones and wife Gracie of Winnsboro, LA, and Jimmy Dale Jones of Monroe, LA; sister, Dottie Cartwright and husband Bill of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Josh Boyer, Jacob, Lauren, Hunter, Cassie, and Kaden Baker, Zachary and Max Berenson, and Kaylee Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Carl Bigelow; and sisters-in-law, Joy Jones and Melba Jones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of James Construction.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
