Charles J. Hansen

Charles J. Hansen, 86, passed away at his home, 1916 Wisconsin Avenue in New Holstein, Wednesday after a one week illness.

He was born in Town Charlestown, Calumet County, on Jan. 16, 1863, the son of Mr. and Mrs. August E. Hansen. He attended district schools and on Nov. 5, 1886, was married to Miss Adolphine Greese in the town of New Holstein. The couple operated a farm north of New Holstein until 1910 when they retired and moved to New Holstein. Mrs. Hansen died 12 years ago.

The survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Edward (Olga) Aggen, six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. One son, Walter, died in 1937. A sister, Mrs. Louise Hageman of Hamilton, Mont., also remains.

Funeral services will be held at the Erbe-Hoffman Funeral Home in New Holstein with the Rev. John Seidler, pastor of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church, officiating. Burial will be made in the New Holstein city cemetery.
