Alonzo was born December 6, 1906 in Ashton to Squiar and Victoria Pratt. He attended Fuller Hill School.
Alonzo worked for many years as a mechanic and also farmed. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening, hunting, and tinkering.
He married Helen Huggins on April 21, 1930. She preceded him in death after 77 years of marriage on June 30, 2007.
Survivors includes his children, Maxine German of Lakeview, Eugene (Judy) Pratt of Carmel, Ind., and Thelma Denhof, Susan (Ron) Wortley and Carl (Marilyn) Pratt, all of Grand Rapids; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alexander (Dora) Pratt of Reed City.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Donald, and one sister, Midge Ketchum.
Funeral services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, at McDowell Funeral Home with Rev. Emmett Kadwell Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and also Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services.
