John Jasper "Tom" Crockett, 67 years of age, of Sloans Valley, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, June 28th, 2009 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Tom was born on April 7th, 1942 in Somerset, Kentucky, son of the late John Moree and Kathryn Parker Jasper Crockett. He was a master plumber and welder and member of the Somerset First United Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing bridge and coaching soccer. He was a member of the Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union No#452 in Lexington, Kentucky.
Tom was survived by one son, Joshua Moree Crockett of the Sloans Valley community of Pulaski County, Kentucky; three daughters, Sarah Cathleen Crockett (and fiancé, Jared Zarantonello) of Louisville, Kentucky, Emily Mason Crockett of the Sloans Valley community, and Andrea Kathryn (and Marty) Taylor of Somerset, Kentucky; one grandchild, Jonathan Taylor Thomas; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Crockett and Kathryn Crockett; his beloved wife, Cathy Sue Heldman Crockett, whom he married on November 20th, 1982 in Somerset, Kentucky and who departed this life on November 4th, 1997.
Visitations were held on Wednesday, July 1st, 2009 after 6:00 p.m. at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Somerset City Cemetery with Bro. Murrell Crockett officiating.
