She was a faithful member of DeQuincy United Methodist Church for over twenty eight years. She was also a member of the Church "Cooley - Harmony" Circle.
Known as "Tee", she will forever be remembered as a kind and giving lady that loved life and people. She loved fishing and especially shopping.
"Tee", along with her husband were the owners of "Ristoms Grocery" in Starks for over fifteen years. She was also the Vice President of Sabine Insulation for over thirty five years.
Survivors include her one son, Albert L. "Dutch" Bowers and his wife Lisa Annette; two grandchildren Lauren Para and her husband Dr. Brett Para Chase McKinney Bowers and his wife Laura; six great-grandchildren Beth Ann Para, Peyton Para, Walker Para, Matthew Para, Maddie Bowers and Nate Bowers; two sister in law,Louise Bowers Folse, Louise Ristom.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George Ristom Sr and Susie Matthews Ristom; her husband of over fifty two years - Albert L. Bowers Sr., one brother - George Anthony Ristom Jr.; two sisters - Juanita Hawthorne and Dr. Ouida Sue Davis.
Funeral service at DeQuincy United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerry Crise and the Rev. Terry Lee officiating. Interment at Graceland Cemetery in Lake Charles.
