Ruby Nell McLaughlin, age 85, of Dyersburg died Friday, June 22, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital of Jackson, TN.
She was born November 7, 1932 in Dyer County.
She is the daughter of the late William Algie and the late Nellie Mae (Ponder) Layman.
She married Charles Edward McLaughlin.
She is survived by two daughters: Nelda K. Ray of Gates, TN and Cheryl Ferrell of Friendship, TN, and three sons: Mike McLaughlin of Dyersburg, TN, Dennis McLaughlin of Dallas, TX and Kerry McLaughlin of Dyersburg, TN. She was a sister of two brothers: Don Layman of Dyersburg, TN and Ken Layman of Paducah, KY.
Ruby was preceded in death by her son, Charles McLaughlin,Jr and Brother, William Layman, Jr.
The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, June 25 at Beech Grove Baptist Church, 2418 Bruceville Slab Rd, Dyersburg, TN with Bro. Jerrell Dawson officiating. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Dyersburg following the service.
Calling hours will be Sunday, June 24 from 5-8 pm at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN.
