The Choteau Calumet (MT), 5 March 1886
Died--At her home near Sun River, on Friday, Feb. 26, 1886, at 2 o'clock p.m., Eva, beloved wife of James C. Adams, 32 years and 10 months.
The sad news conveyed in the above notice was received with pain and universal regret by the many friends of the deceased and now the sorrow-stricken husband. All that professional skill and watchful nursing could do was done, and at one time it was hoped the lady might recover, but she suffered a relapse and soon was past all human aid. Mrs. Adams was a devoted wife, model mother, and held in highest esteem by all who knew her. A fond husband and father and five young children are left to mourn her departure, and the sympathy of all is extended to them in their affliction.
The funeral took place on last Sunday afternoon, and a large cortege followed the remains to the cemetery. The Episcopal burial service was read, and a memorial service will be held at the church hereafter.
