Mr. Danny Ray George, age 54 of Shelbyville, Tennessee died Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Heritage Medical Center in Shelbyville. He is the son of James W. George and Helen Pendergast George. Mr. George was a native of Alabama and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Shelbyville.
Mr. Danny Ray George is survived by his parents: James W. and Helen P. George, Shelbyville, Rita George of Shelbyville, children, Andrea George McCullough and Chastina Brooke George both of Shelbyville, sisters Vickie George of Nashville, Tennessee, Rhonda Medley and Wanda Bridges both of Shelbyville, brothers: Doug and Ricky George both of Shelbyville, two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Amanda Chanel George in 1989.
Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at Gowen-Smith Chapel and on Wednesday July 1, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2561 Hwy. 231 North, Shelbyville, Tennessee. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday from the church.
Burial will follow in Willow Mount Cemetery.
