Funeral services for a prominent Lockwood citizen, Cicero D. Pyle, who died at 5 A.M. Sunday at his home after a two week illness, were conducted at the Methodist Church in Lockwood at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday.
Mr. Pyle and his brother Will established a large horse and mule business, which was known as Pyle Brothers Mules, during World War I. In 1924 he moved to Fort Worth, Texas and was engaged in the cattle feeding and grazing business until 1944, when he returned to Lockwood and retired.
He was a member of the Lockwood Methodist Church and was vice president of the Farmers State Bank for many years.
Rev. E.C. Wadlow and Rev. G.E. Wells officiated at the church services. Burial was in the family mausoleum at the Lockwood Cemetery under the direction of the Allison Funeral Home.
