He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Sykes of Waverly, Tenn. and Mrs. Virgie Garrett of Hayti, a foster brother, Bill Barksdale, of Braggadocio, also a large number of nephews and nieces, among them Sheriff Clyde Orton of this city and Virgil and Willard Garrett of Hayti.
Funeral services were held at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Braggadocio Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald G. Foley officiating. Burial was in Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home services.
