"DERRINGER, Lawson G., age 84, a lifetime resident of Trotwood, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 30, 1998. Lawson had been farming in the area all his life and was on the board of directors at the Trotwood Farmers Exchange. He had graduated from Madison (Trotwood) High School in 1932 and began driving a school bus for the next 36 years. Lawson was also active as a precinct judge for the Board of Elections for over 50 years. Survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Juanita (Greer); two sons, George (Kathleen) of Clayton and Jeffrey (Debbie) of Brookville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph (Mary Ruth) of Trotwood and Paul (Marie) of Lewisburg; and many more relatives and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Rogers Funeral Home, Trotwood, with Pastor Carl DeSelms presiding. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery." Dayton Daily News (Dayton, Ohio), May 1, 1998
