Mrs. Emma BOWEN, 76, of near Akron, died at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon at Woodlawn Hospital in Rochester. She resided about five miles southwest of Akron. Mrs. Bowen is survived by the husband, Nelson [BOWEN], and several children. The body was taken to the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home in Akron.

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma C. BOWEN, 76, who died Tuesday at Woodlawn Hospital, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Church of God in Akron, the Rev. D. L. SLAYBAUGH officiating. Burial will be Mt. Hope Cemetery at Athens.
Friends may call at the Moyer-Haupert Funeral Home in Akron until 12:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon at which time the body will be taken to the church.
Mrs. Bowen, who had been ill for 10 days, resided five miles southwest of Akron. She was born Sept. 27, 1877, the daughter of Abraham and Mary WARRICK NICODEMUS.
On Nov. 17, 1900, she was married to Nelson BOWEN in Miami County. She was a member of the Church of God of Akron.
Surviving are the husband, three daughters, Misses Ruth and Lois BOWEN, at home, and Mrs. Doris STANLEY of Akron; three sons, Raymond and Albert [BOWEN] of Rochester, and Paul [BOWEN] of Akron; nineteen grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Samuel NICODEMUS of Athens, and several nieces and nephews. A daughter preceded her in death.
