DEATH OF MRS. GAMMON
Mrs. Alex Gammon, mother of W.C. Eldred died at the home of the later last Monday after several months of illness. The deceased suffered very much during her last days, her sufferings being relieved by the careful nursing of Mr. and Mrs. Eldred who gave her every attention. Mrs. Gammon was 74 years of age at death and had lived in Crystal Falls for 30 years. She was born in Oswego, New York and was married to Mr. Gammon in 1887. Mr. and Mrs. Gammon conducted the Gammon House in this city for many years and were always industrious people and respected citizens. The funeral was held from the Methodist Episcopal church on Thursday afternoon, the Rev. A. K. Scott of Iron Mountain, pastor of the Baptist church to which denomination the deceased belonged, conducted the funeral services. The remains were interred in the local cemetery.
