Wm. Eldred hauled a passenger to the Great Western location one of the worst days we had a week ago. On his way back he got off the road and thought that he would light up before attempting to get back on. The passenger had paid "Billy" a one-dollar bill and Mr. Eldred stuck the bill in his vest pocket. The wind was blowing a gale when "Billy" got out to light up--he had a presto light--and when he stuck his first finger and thumb into his pocket for the patch he pulled out the dollar bill in withdrawing his fingers and the high wind caught the bill and wafted it to kingdom come. Was he sore? Ask him.
