Henry C. Bieberich dies this morning
Henry C. Bieberich, 83, formerly of 927 Dierkes street, died at 4:15 a.m. today at the Lutheran home in Fort Wayne, where he had been a resident the past year. He had been in failing health for five years.
He was a member of the Zion Lutheran church in Decatur. Mr. Bieberich was a retired employee of the Decatur Casting Co. and had previously been a farmer in Root township.
Born in Preble township on Sept. 8, 1889, he was the son of Henry and Eliza Ehlerding-Bieberich, and was married on May 4, 1913, to Eliza Selking who died on July 9, 1966.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Emil (Dorothy) Bienz of Decatur; Mrs. Norman (Mildred) Schoenherr of New Haven, and Robert, owner of Bob’s Sewing Center, route 3; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. One son, five brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Zion Lutheran church, with Rev. Paul Ludwig officiating. Burial will be in the Decatur cemetery. Friends may call at the Zwick funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight and until 12 noon on Saturday, then at the church from 1 p.m. until time of the services. Preferred memorials are to the Debt Retirement Fund.
