found d/c--informant was Army Service Record
stone has 1913 as birth year,d/c has 1918,which would fit the info right.It stated he was 24 when he died in an accidental explosion while at Camp Swift,Tx(couldn't find a town by that name,but d/c states it was in Bastrop Co.Tx.
It states he was married ,but didn't list wife or parents.

Officer, 7 Men Die in Explosion at Camp Swift

Camp Swift, Tex. (AP) An explosion in the course of demolition exercises Tuesday killed a lieutenant and seven enlisted men and wounded five other soldiers.

The explosion occurred inside the reservation four miles from the main camp, Col. L. A. Kurtz, camp commander, said. All the dead and injured were members of the regiment.

Pvt. Frank Carter, 22, wife, Mrs. Adene Carter, Bonham, Tx.

Pvt. Adrian Wright, 19, mother, Mrs. Dolly A. Wright, Route 4, Weatherford, Tx.

Pvt. James E. Pate, 18, wife, Mrs. Ola Mae Pate, Brownwood, Tex.

Pvt. Charles C. Wade, 20, mother, Mrs. Sarah E. Wade, Bruceville, Tex.

Pvt. James A. McCorquodals, 24, wife, Mrs. Maxine McCorquodale, Garden City, Tex.

Pvt. Harry M. Jones, 19, of Route 2, Chickasha, Okla., wife Mrs. Louise Jones.

Pvt. Frank Leonardos, 19, of 202 McNeil, Shreveport, La., mother Mrs. Beatie B. Leonardos.

The seriously injured included:
Pvt. Jim B. Pickard of Route 2, Grandview, Tex., Mamie Pickard.

Pvt. Porter A. Parham of 19 South 38th, Paris, Tex., Joe Parham.

Seven others, whose names were withheld, were hospitalized.

Bodies of the eight dead will be shipped to their homes for burial.

Details of the explosion will not be made public until a board of officers has completed an investigation.
