Helen E. Doyle, 84, of Frederick, died Friday, June 26, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1924, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Frank Andrews and Anna Pearl Fraley Andrews. She was the wife of James B. Doyle, whom she married Sept. 13, 1947.
She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Cumberland in 1947. She later graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School in Baltimore, and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Frederick Memor-ial Hospital.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children and spouses Patty Henry and husband Richard, of Hagerstown, and Michael Doyle and wife Linda, of Frederick; grandsons Matthew and Patrick Doyle; siblings and spouses Marion Dodril and husband Ted, of Sterling, Va., Ann Brandt and husband Ken, Bob Andrews and wife Doris, and Janet Harmon and husband Cliff, all of Cumberland, and Jean Boone, of Garland, Texas; sisters-in-law Joanne Andrews and Jean Andrews; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other relatives.
She was predeceased by brothers William Andrews and Jack Andrews; and by a brother-in-law, Robert Boone.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. July 11 at Chapel Mausoleum of Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 U.S. Route 15 N. in Frederick. Inurnment will follow in the Veterans Gardens of Honor II at Resthaven.
